The Boyajian family have not have not celebrated Christmas since and heard on Christmas Eve of 18-year-old John's departure within the Persian Gulf War twenty years before. His departure has so absorbed them they have abandoned the joys of christmas, until a visitor passes their lives and also rekindles the spirit of the season.
