Nian is attempting to get in shape for the Gaokao examination. Her chances of gaining admission to college are contingent on her grade, and the persistent taunting of her peers is not helping. Bei's universe is the street with all of its shadowy nooks. A nighttime meeting puts the reticent schoolgirl and the street-savvy trickster, Bei, together.
