After dark in Paris Alex, age 22, has the ambition to work in the film industry. He is really curious about first experiences, which is unfortunate given that his fiancée Florence has recently dumped him in favor of his best friend Thomas. The beginning of the end, and the beginning of a murder attempt: Alex makes several attempts to suffocate Thomas before giving up and going out to explore the streets. That night, Mireille, a girl from a small town in the countryside of France who moved to Paris to work in the advertising industry, is dumped by her lover. Alex is a witness to this disconnection.
