An upstate New York trailer mom, ray Eddy, is enticed into the world of illegal immigrant smuggling. Broke after her partner will be taking off with all the down payment for his or her brand new double-wide, Ray reluctantly teams up with Lila, a smuggler, and both begin making runs across the frozen St. Lawrence River carrying illegal Chinese and Korean immigrants at the back of Ray's Dodge Spirit.
