After his release from prison, notorious ex-con and moonshine distiller Gator McKlusky moves in with his dad in a cabin in the Okefenokee Swamp. His plans are cut short if a federal representative informs McKlusky that he'll shed custody of his daughter unless he can help bring crime lord Bama McCall. McKlusky enlists the help of a local eccentrics and reporter Aggie Maybank to bring down the empire of McCall.
