After witnessing his friend's murder, Gerard Depardieu plays the sleazy nightclub owner and ex-detective who flew to Hong Kong to save his little son from the Chinese mob. He passes the youngster over to a devout priest (Christian Clavier) who would take him back to Paris in his company. Clavier and Depardieu will soon be engaged in combat, each accompanied by the specter of his own good or wicked guardian angel.
