American scientist John Holden arrives at London for a seminar on parapsychology only to discover that the priests that has been killed in a freak accident the evening before. It turns out that the deceased had been exploring a cult guide by Dr. Julian Karswell. Though a skeptic, Holden is suspicious of this Karswell. Following a course of manuscripts that are mysterious, Holden enters a world that makes him question his faith.
