Grazia is just a wed to shy fisherman Pietro and living on Lampedusa's idyllic but isolated island in the Mediterranean Sea. She shows signs of depressive behavior -- just one moment as the second she's curled into a ball she's laughing swimming and wildly half-naked from the sea. Out of her ear shot, the members of her family vaguely discuss sending to a facility of some sort in Northern Italy.
