Equivalent portions Sicilian Vampire, like Goodfellas and Dusk till Dawn, follows notorious mobster Sonny Traficante as he attempts to escape to his family's hunting lodge for some leisure and relaxation and to create some memories. Rather than that, he had a night to remember. Sonny is bitten upon arrival at the resort by a bat that has been released from a jar of bananas they brought up. The bat bites Sonny's neck viciously and then flees into the night. Sonny is then endowed with supersonic hearing, increased vision, superhuman strength, and even the capacity to communicate with the dead. Sonny now feels a feeling of obligation to rectify wrongs in his life and defend people he loves as a result of these enhanced senses. He initially opposes his newly acquired abilities, but eventually embraces them.
