In the 1990s, when everyone in Korea was crazy about Go gambling, Gui-su loses everything because his father gambled nonstop until he had nothing left. Gui-su is alone in the world when he meets Il-do, a mentor and Go teacher. Gui-su trains hard with Il-do to become the grandmaster of Go. He goes out to get back at the world for destroying his life, but soon he is being chased by a mysterious loner who is also out for revenge.
