When 14-year-old Marco, a homeless Romani young boy, is apprehended at the Danish border for belongings of a missing out on public servant's passport, police assessor Carl Mørck and his Division Q team are charged with locating the link. The old case includes a number of questionable components: The public slave was implicated of pedophilia soon prior to he disappeared, and his instance was closed uncommonly promptly. However the silent, shocked Marco declines to speak with them and also it's shortly before he's on the run from those that intend to kill him as a result of what he recognizes.
