Chloe, a student filmmaker stranded in the suburbs, begins filming a documentary on her family's difficult past. While filming, she and her best friend Ed observe a frantic girl escape from a neighbor's house, only to be quickly hauled back inside. Is she, as her neighbors claim, a recovering addict? Or is she truly in peril at the hands of people who claim to care for her? Chloe and Ed begin surveillance, but as they go deeper, they discover a world of weird ideas, ancient religions, and deadly witchcraft. Their pursuit for the truth will culminate in a live webcast that will shock viewers and make them doubt the very validity of what they are witnessing. The webcast is inspired by a variety of horror and thriller films, including Rear Window, The Wicker Man, The Blair Witch Project, Rosemary's Baby, Paranormal Activity, and Race with the Devil.
